1946 - 2019

Gary D. Gonyea, 73 of Kirkville, NY, passed peacefully of natural causes.

Gary was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Marion Gonyea; step-mother, Bertha Gonyea of Morrisonville, NY and brother, Armand Gonyea.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia; sons, Gary (Rhonda) Gonyea of Kirkville and Christopher (Karen) Gonyea of Bridgeport; several grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.

Gary was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army from 1964-1967. He enjoyed spending his summers at camp in Brennan’s Beach with many close friends and relatives. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days.

Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse on Tuesday, July 2nd from 4-7pm. Funeral Services will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Wednesday, 10am. Burial will follow at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Central NY Chapter, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204
