Elmira Lorraine Wellenc, 90, of Liverpool, NY, passed away in the comfort of her home on Saturday, June 29, 2019.

Elmira was born April 26, 1929 in Buffalo, NY, to the late Daniel and Elmira Crotty. She attended art classes at Buffalo State University. On December 22, 1956, she married the late Thaddeus “Ted” Stephen Wellenc (married for 60 years) of Buffalo, NY.

Elmira was a very talented artist, sculptor, painter, doll maker, seamstress and gardener. She extended kindness to both friends and strangers. She enjoyed camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Her children, and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She prayed for their well-being, and made time for each of them. Sleepovers, building forts, or driving to fun places were just a few of the things she would do to make lasting memories with them. She always made Christmas special for them.

She was a devoted and loving home maker, and always allowed kids to be kids.

Elmira was also predeceased by her brother, Daniel, and sisters June, and Robbin.

She is survived by her sister Florence, her three sons Thaddeus Jr., Gregory, and Timothy, three daughters Haidee, Wendy, and Bridget, six grandchildren Keith, Tyler, Gregory, Timothy, Alexandra, and Mason.

A private ceremony was held on Friday, July 12, 2019.
