1964 - 2019

David R. Owens, 55 of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Francis House after fighting cancer for one year.

Born in Buffalo, NY as Duane Eugene Browne and immediately adopted by William and Joanne Owens whom predeceased him. David was a true nomad and lived his life accordingly.

He liked to ride Kawasaki Motorcycles and earned the nickname “KZ Dave”. He made friends everywhere he went in life in the United States and worldwide.

Survivors include his best friends and caregivers, John and Dawn Kelly; the Scerbo Family; the Sobey Family and special friend, Christine Rivera; cousin, Gary Owens and many loving friends.

There will be a celebration of his life at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the The Francis House, Syracuse.
