Tyrone R. Nixon, 61, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at home September 3, 2019.

Tyrone was born in Port Chester, New York on February 22, 1958 to the late Mary Helen Carter. Tyrone retired from the US Navy after 21 years of service where he was a Petty Officer First Class. While serving he met the love of his life, Karen, in Japan. He enjoyed traveling the world, watching and playing sports, fishing, and most importantly spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Nathaniel Carter.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Karen M. Nixon; daughter, Cassandra (Justin) Bulak; son, Drew (Alyssa ) Nixon; grandchildren, Jackson & Mackenzie; siblings, Deborah (Willard) Nixon-Jordan, Genaro, Alfred, Derek, Kim, and Renee Nixon.

Services will take place Saturday at his daughter's home from 1-4pm.
