Jessica Brown, 94, formerly of Interlaken, NY, passed away Saturday, the 28th of September, 2019.

Jessica was born in Auburn, NY on the 26th of January, 1925. She was the daughter of Polish immigrants, and she had five siblings.

Jessica worked in a defense plant in WWII, later in Singer's sewing machine company. She married Morris Brown and started a dry cleaning business in Interlaken, NY. She was widowed in 1970, and then worked at the Interlaken United States Postal Service until retirement.

When retired, she was a volunteer at the Interlaken Reformed Church Food Pantry. She also put her time and talent into knitting caps for newborn infants, as well donating her handmade Christmas ornaments for charity. She was an excellent seamstress, cake decorator, painter, and made great turkey dinners and pies. She also enjoyed reading and puzzles.

Later in her life, she enjoyed traveling in the US and Europe, visiting Austria, Spain, Germany, and England.

Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Vogtle; her son, Lane Brown; granddaughters, Holly and Andrea; and other family members.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Loretto, 9th floor Cunningham, for their professional care.

Services will be private for the family.
