Robert John Durfey, 87, of Cicero, passed away October 8, 2019.

Robert was born in Fulton, New York on September 18, 1932 to the late Harley and Anna Durfey. Robert retired from Roth Brothers in Syracuse after many years. 'Uncle Bob' as he was affectionately known to by his family and friends, was devoted to his beloved wife Mary. He enjoyed traveling to her hometown, where he enjoyed fishing on the St. Lawrence River and visiting her relatives. Bob shared some of the best stories which ended with a good laugh and was always happy spending time with her family from up north. He also enjoyed spending time at his little camp in Henderson Harbour.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Durfey; his siblings, Steven Durfey, Ransom Durfey, Harley Jr, and Lila Ash Durfey.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen Jacobs; brother, Jacob Durfey; sister in law, Shirley Jacobs; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, October 12th, from 12-2pm, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse, NY 13212. A service will follow.
