Francis "Joe" Miller
1947 - 2019

Francis “Joe” Miller, 72, of North Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday. Joe proudly served in the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps. and was discharged as a Sergeant. He was on the working committee with the Onondaga County Korea Vietnam Memorial in downtown Syracuse.

He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after over 30 years of service, working at the Liverpool Bayberry branch.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Leslie Miller and a brother, Steve Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan Miller; children, Jade Miller, Joey Miller and Janina Miller-Cosentino and Jeff Miller; grandchildren, Angelina Cosentino, Gabriella Cosentino and Sophia Miller; brothers, Gary, John, William and sisters, Dorothy “Bunny”, Diane, Linda and Deborah.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 15th 4:30pm-7:30pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals with a service and military honors to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 103.
