Edward L. Stevens, 86, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Wednesday October 30, 2019 at The Centers at St. Camillus. He was born in Syracuse to the late Robert and Hazel Stevens. In the 1950’s, Edward was a United States Marine stationed in Nevada. He was in a fox hole half a mile from Ground Zero for atomic bomb testing. Edward was also in the Recon Company in the Korean War. He retired from the Syracuse Police Department in 1978.
He leaves behind his wife Nancy Clemens Stevens of 23 years; son, Chris; step sons, Ron, Larry (Diana) and Paul; as well as, several grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours and a graveside service will be private for the family.
