James A. “Jim” Heath, 81, of Kirkville, passed away on Sunday at home surrounded by family. He was born in Alexandria Bay on February 28, 1938 son of the late Wendell and Dorothy Heath. Jim served in the US Marines and he enjoyed golfing, painting the wilderness and animals.

James is survived by his loving wife, Linda B. Heath, his children, Sonja Bettinger, Todd (Christian) Heath, Joann Sobotka, Tammy (Craig) Donohue, grandchildren, Robert, Jenna-Lyn, Elizabeth, 4 great grandchildren, sisters, Judy (Nicholas), Sandy, Patricia, Carol, Roberta, brothers, Robert, Wendell (Kerri), beloved bird, Laura, his cats; Devil & Mr. Katie, along with several nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was predeceased by his brother, Larry and sister, Crystal.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 10th from 1-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA.
