Robert M. Benderski
1959 - 2019

Robert M. Benderski, 60, of Liverpool, passed away suddenly at home.

Bob was a lifelong Syracuse area resident and worked in sales in the transportation and heavy equipment industries, before transitioning into accounting roles. Most recently he was the Staff Accountant at Martens Fresh, LLC in Port Byron.

Bob was a die-hard college football fan and greatly enjoyed his sons’ careers playing for St. John Fisher College, as well as the epic Benderski Family tailgates at Syracuse University games. He loved spending time with his wife, whom he adored, traveling to Niagara Falls, area wine trails, concerts, and local casinos. He was a legendary game night host and bartender, and always looked forward to time spent with those special friends.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Suzanne Benderski; sons, Brian Benderski (Taylor Ivey) and Michael Benderski (Kymberle Gauger); stepchildren, Tracy Donitzen, Michael (Rachel) Donitzen, and Kelsey Donitzen (Rob Maher); brothers, William (Deborah) Benderski and Ronald Benderski (Kristin Lovecchio), and several treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Zeon and Stephanie Benderski.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 16th from 12-3 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, North Syracuse, NY 13212. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM.

Following the services, family and friends are invited to attend a potluck meal at the Wetzel Road Church of Christ in Liverpool at 4:00 PM. The address is 4268 Wetzel Road, Liverpool, NY 13090
