John T. “JT” Stroud, 80, of Hastings, passed away peacefully on Saturday due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease. John served honorably in the United States Navy.

John was predeceased by his parents, George and Marguerite Stroud; brother, William Stroud and a sister, Sally Abbott.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Helen (Ellison); children, Pamuella (Patrick) Fallon; John (Lyra) Stroud, Jr. and Luke (Amanda Smith) Stroud; 5 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Olga) Stroud of Solvay, NY; Patricia (Tom) Larkin of Concord, MA and Nancy Guadagno of Spindale, NC.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 10th 4-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals with a service to follow at 6pm. Burial will take place in the spring.
