Fahed Jiries, 74, of Clay, passed away Friday surrounded by his loving family.
Fahed was born in Nazareth, Palestine – "The Holy Land" on March 12, 1945 to the late Tawfik and Naimeh Jiries. He immigrated to the United States in January 1981. Fahed was a skilled carpenter, furnishing his home that he shared with his loving wife. He loved playing backgammon, poker, and was very good at dancing to "The Twist." Fahed was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a kind, gentle, loving soul to all that knew and adored him.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dalal Jiries; children, Nariman, Jumana, and Tawfik (TJ) Jiries; three sisters, two brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2020 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at St. Elias Orthodox Church, 4988 Onondaga Rd, Syracuse, where funeral services will also be held Saturday at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elias Orthodox Church.
