In Memory Of
Jeffrey Alan Weed
1970 - 2020

Jeffrey Alan Weed, 50 of Central Square passed away March 16, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He fought hard for 6 years and will be missed by many.

Jeff was born in Syracuse, NY on January 19, 1970 to Janet and George Dove. Jeff worked at Ameritool Manufacturing in Central Square as a machine operator. Jeff was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed gaming and was excellent at building model ships and airplanes. Jeff had the biggest, kindest heart for others; he was there for anyone in need at any time day or night!

He was preceded in death by his father, George C Dove; siblings, Nelson (Sonny), Darren, George (Skip) and Christina (Nina); maternal grandparents Hazel & Tony Powelszyk and his beloved Aunt Marjorie Bennett. He is survived by his mother and BEST friend, Janet Dove; two sisters, Colleen Alden (Central Square, NY) and Theresa Horton (Morehead City, NC); his grandmother Dorice Stewart (Lacona, NY) and his best buddy and companion Lilo the mutt.

We want Holly to know how special you are for all you did for Jeff, the thoughtless hours you spent with him and your friendship; we know how much he looked forward to your visits. To Jeff’s friends, we are so thankful you were there for him – helping him with the decks, the ramp – you just being there. A great big shout out to all the nurses and doctors at Upstate University in the ICU and the 10th floor, you are so very appreciated!
There are no words for the loss of Jeff – he will be greatly missed and the hole in our hearts will remain until we meet again.

Services for Jeffrey have been postponed due to the current environment surrounding the coronavirus. This information will be updated once services have been rescheduled. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time.

A celebration of Life will also be at a later date.
