Margaret “Maggie” Rentos, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2020.

Maggie was born in Dannemora, New York on August 11, 1943 to the late Greer and Veronica Walker. She was the inventor of Maggie’s Sew Free Buttons. Maggie was an avid golfer, bowler, darter and poker player. She loved her family and friends and was enthusiastic about handing out prayers to St. Joseph. Maggie was an incredible listener and extremely generous and took every opportunity to help others.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jim Rentos; her children, James Cousineau, Christine (Kelly) Dorr, Brian Cousineau, and Christos Rentos; 7 grandchildren, James Aaron, Joseph, Nicole, Brandee Leigh, James Walker, Tyler, Samuel; 4 great grandchildren, Em, Jaycee, Rosalyn Theresa, Sophia Marie; her sisters, Mary McMenamin and Francine (Ken) LaFave; several nieces and nephews and innumerable friends.

A memorial celebration of her life is planned for early August.
