In Memory Of
Rosewyn P. "Winnie" Cheevers
1951 - 2020

It is with overwhelming sadness we announce the passing of the greatest Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Sister, Rosewyn “Winnie” Cheevers, 68, on May 27, 2020.

Those who will forever cherish memories are her husband, William Cheevers; children, Brian (Ellen) Cheevers, Tammy (Kevin) Stoutenger, and Mark (Jennefer) Cheevers; siblings, Terry (Gary) Richey, Tom (Judy) Chapman, and Kelly Chapman; 10 Grandchildren, Cody, Brienne, Nathan, Luke, Cameron, Jack, McKenzie, Rose, Mark, and William; and 2 Great-Grandchildren, Carter and Anakin.

Winnie grew up in Syracuse, and lived most of her life in Liverpool. She spent summers at Brennan Beach and upon retirement, she spent winters in Spring Hill, Florida.

She graduated from St. Lucy’s Academy(a true Lucian), attended Columbia College and retained several certifications in Fitness and Travel.

Upon graduation, she worked at NY Telephone Company. Her next career was with Kelly Lyn Fitness Center, as she so enjoyed teaching Aerobics and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Her love of travel took her to AAA Western and CNY as a travel Agent. Finally, she retired from from Syracuse Orthopedics Specialists.

Bill & Winnie were St. Lucy’s High School sweethearts, and would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary October 2020.

Winnie’s love of travel, which included several cruises with her family and friends. You would often find her singing and dancing the night away.

Heartfelt appreciation goes out to the staff of Brittonfield Associates.

Donations may be made, in her name, to Hospice of CNY for their gentle care.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
