Ernest J. Fleegel, born September 3rd, 1928, of Cicero, passed away at his home on June 30, 2020.

He was a proud man who loved his family and serving his community. Where he lived is where he served Minoa, North Chittenango, and South Bay Fire Departments. He was a life member of Empire State Rescue & First Aid, Minoa FD and NAVAC Ambulance Corp.

After his retirement from General Motors, he was able to enjoy his mighty NY Yankees, NASCAR and S.U. Athletics.

He was predeceased in 2018 by his wife of 63 years, Joyce; his granddaughter, Carrie Anne (Fleegel) Cook; and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Cook.

He is survived by his sons, Ernie “Corky” (Mary Anne) Fleegel, David (Lynn) Dean, John (D’nan) Dean, Ron (Karen) Dean, Vic Dean; daughter, Bonnie (Peter) Gallauresi; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 11 great- great grandchildren; and his loving dog, Shelby.
