Jean M. Morey, age 84, of West Monroe, passed away on Friday at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hastings, on June 27, 1936 daughter of the late Stanley and Mae House. Jean enjoyed trips to the casino, bingo and she was a charter member of the West Monroe Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Neil D. Morey, children, Debra (Bernard) Gladle, Douglas (Rene) Morey, Mark (Amy) Morey, Patricia (Brian) Schumaker, Karen (Jim) Ackley, brother, Donald (Fran) House, sister, Linda Springer (Tom Owen), sister-in-law, Barbara House, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Eddie House and brother-in-law, Gary Springer.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main, North Syracuse. Services will be held on Thursday 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Pinegrove Cemetery in Mallory.
