Ruth Culkin, age 78 of Clay, NY passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the Francis House. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Virginia Reinhardt; and siblings, Lawrence “Lucky”, Robert, Gloria, Jane, and Virginia “Dolly”.

Ruth is survived by her loving children, Donald, Christine (David) DeMong, Timothy and Kevin (Kristen) Culkin; siblings, Richard Reinhardt, Mable Bradford, and Mildred “DeeDee” Seay; grandchildren, Christopher, Patrick, Phillip, William, Katie, Kathleen, and Mikey; great-grandchild, Tanner; loving friend, Mark Jansen; loving nieces and nephews.

Ruth enjoyed helping and caring for others. She also enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, sitting on her porch, and spending time with her family, especially hosting family gatherings. Ruth was a loving mother, sister and Nana who will be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Francis House and Hospice CNY for the amazing care they provided their mother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 8229 Brewerton Road, Cicero, NY with a Mass to immediately follow at 10 am. Ruth will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt, NY following the church service.
