I don’t know where to begin. She was so much to so many. I cherished her for always making me feel loved. She set a place for me at so many tables, when I had no where else to go. So many memories! Juice glass and vitamins, laundry and food. I’m who I am in large part because of her. Thank you Andrea and Mike for sharing her with me. Love you! xoxo

Twenty six years ago, Eileen planned Charlies and mine wedding and baked the wedding cake. It was a beautiful day we would not have had if not for Eileen. I loved her pies and more than once she sent me home with an apple pie.
I loved listening to Eileen tell stories about her family. She had a great laugh!
There will be a large void in our life with out Eileen.
I know she will be watching over her children and grandchildren.
Rest in peace, Eileen. We love you.

Eileen was the person that always saw the best in others and made sure they knew she saw it. There was never a time that I didn’t feel special or extremely loved by Eileen. The gifts of grace, goodness, and kindness were woven into everything she did and was. I will never forget the way she made me feel and the love she showed! I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to have known and been blessed by her association. Thank you Andrea for always being my dear friend and sharing your Angel Mother with me!??

God Bless you,

My deepest condolences to the Marshall family. Were it not for your mom, I would not have had the beautiful wedding that I did. She lent me 3 bridesmaid dresses from her wedding. I was in dire straights until she came to the rescue. My family (McGregor) and your family were close friends back in the 60's . Unfortunately friendships fade over the years. The last time I spoke to Eileen was last year and I'm so glad I reached out to her. She was not only beautiful on the outside but, also beautiful on the inside. I know you will miss her not being in your lives. Again, my sympathy to your family.

Many shared memories. You sang for me when we were 11 years old. Christmas shopping at the Easy Bargain Center. Drinking your homemade Kahlua and getting tipsy. Holidays at my home and yours. It was 70 years of friendship.
I love you. I will miss you.

Eileen was a great neighbor. We had many laughs over coffee breaks. I called her “Computer Brain” because she remembered every date, name, and oh the jokes and stories.
Eileen sure could cook and bake. She shared many dishes and desserts with me.
My wish is that Eileen and Bill are reunited now, and I will miss you both and smile at the memories .

Dear Andrea & Dan: First, let me offer my sincere & deepest sympathy. The loss of one's Mother is a very difficult experience & I wish you comfort & peace.
I have the fondest memories of going to your house after the Cicero High School Musicals, where your Mom always hosted the most
wonderful, fun filled & sometimes over-the-top after parties. There were people everywhere in every room, there was lots of delicious food,
there was music & dancing & laughter. I always thought she must be such a great Mom! Although I didn't know her well, what I do recall
was that she was simultaneously in charge, yet part of the group of young people & adults. She fit right in & was very happy & vivacious.
I imagined what she must have been like at smaller family gatherings: the life of the party & the party of her own. She impressed me as a
woman who absolutely adored life, people of all ages, & a great Mom you could go to with good news or bad. She was full of joy! Her laugh
was loud & strong & I always wished I had had the chance to have a one on one conversation with her. She obviously made the world a
better place. Even though she is gone, her personality & spirit will be with you, always. May she rest in peace & God bless her.
With love & condolences, Jo Anne Capucilli

Eileen was my best friend, the best friend I ever had, I will miss her for the rest of my life, I loved her.
She and I had some good times

Ma, it is impossible to believe that after providing so much love, so much genuine joy, so much generosity and kindness to everyone around you (to me when I was but an 18 year old child), that you are now gone. Aside from your endless generosity, you always showed me incredible love and laughter... and oh the laughter that I shared with you! Your incredible stories, memory, and your wit! That incredible, fiery combination of factual yet charming storytelling and storm! I loved every second of every conversation that we ever had. Sadly too few. But I will never, ever forget you or these amazing and precious moments that we shared. You were, and still are to me, truly like a mother. Your loss is devastating, but you are now at peace. Your laughter, your smile and twinkling eyes, shine bright in my memory. Thank you for everything, for all of your love. I will miss you desperately, and terribly, forever.
All my love,
~ Judith Vargas - October 13, 2020
Andrea, your mom sounded like an amazing women. Just looking and knowing you she must have been amazing by raising an amazing woman in you. I wrote you a poem my friend. Always remember that she will always be your Angel.
"Once upon a time an angel held my hand.
She wiped away my tears and helped me understand
Our time on Earth is brief; there are lessons to be learned.
Each precious day God gives us, another page is turned.
Every chapter full of memories, times of joy and tears,
Triumphs and defeats, through every passing year.
She loved us unconditionally, always by our side.
When no one else would listen, in her we could confide.
With gentle words of wisdom, she led us on our way,
Down the paths of righteousness if ever we did stray.
She saw the light in everyone and gave with no regrets,
Always from her heart, let's not forget.
Angels come in many forms; for me it was my mother.
With love I cannot say in words there'll never be another.
Every day I turn the page, in my heart will ever remain
Everything she taught me as I stroll down memory lane.
Thank you, God, for giving me the most priceless of all treasures.
Help my, Lord, to keep alive her memory here forever.
I pray that I can someday be everything she hoped I would,
That she's smiling down from heaven knowing she did good.
As we gather here today, there's no ending to her story.
Another chapter has begun, full of grace and glory.
God's called her to his heavenly home, part of his great plan.
Although it may be hard, we all must understand.
Faith is what is hoped for, things we cannot see.
Heaven is promised to all of us if only we believe."

Woman, half my heart is filled with sadness, the other half with joy for you. So many times throughout the years you said I love you patty. Those words always made me feel wonderful. I won't hear those words from you ever again but know that God heard those words each time you told me. The joy I feel is knowing you were done with you life's journey. You told me you just wanted to go to Heaven to be with your family. Your in Heaven Woman. A new chapter will begin for Andrea and Mike filled with memories and joyful tears of you and bill. Watch over them as they continue with this new chapter. I love you too Woman. P.S remember your promise to me, I'll be waiting.

Dear Andrea & Dan,
My sincerest condolences on the passing of Eileen. I'll never forget all the holiday good times I had at your home because of the welcoming demeanor of your mother. She was a warm, welcoming and very charismatic individual. I am so sorry for your loss.
~ Steve Heft - October 13, 2020
I have to many memories to list here. Eileen opened her home to all of us over the years. Her home was a second home to me. I lived with her daughter and then her son at one point and the running joke was that I was going to live with all the Marshall’s. You will be missed but never forgotten. Until we meet in you back room on the other side for one of your fabulous parties, with all my love.
~ Craig VanDerveer - October 13, 2020
I worked with Eileen in the 80's at Hills Department Store - I was married in 1991 and she made me the best wedding cake! I never forgot her and was saddened to read of her passing. Comfort and prayers to her family. May she rest in peace.

The door to the Marshall mansion was always open to friends and family (and we fortunately, are both). Jim and I have great memories of the times we visited (Bill and) Eileen. We made the trip back to Syracuse each summer to visit family and time spent in Cicero at my brother Charlie and Carols house and 'around the corner' at the Marshalls were always filled with massive amounts of food, drink and great conversation. Eileen and I would always end up with some reference to 'south side' Syracuse and 'the valley'. We didn't know each other growing up; one of those small world happenings as adults thanks to Dan and Andrea.
We can't be there in person but send prayers and loving thoughts to those who are together sharing the loss.
~ Jim&Maggie Trump - October 13, 2020
I'll never forget our escapades together, and with our accomplice, Ms. Brown.
When at Beak and Skiff, you made Pat and I steal apples that were roped off, and the Tractor Operator blew us in the cashier while we were paying. He stepped out of the booth and said,"Yeah. They're here right now". You're amazing wit burst forth, and you said " Could we hurry please? I have a plane back to Florida that I can't miss" It was hilarious!
The time we were at Franks, having coffee, and the new waitress asked us if we wanted Olives. Weirdo.
The endless laughter about Grandpa Gwilt and his 'questionable' background.
The 11 glorious pictures of your thumb on my phone, (which I still and will always have).
I can go on forever, as I'm sure everyone here could. Just know that you were my favorite aunt. I believed we saw something in your Brother, and I in my Sister.
Tell Uncle "Wim" I said Hi.
~ Sean Gwilt - October 13, 2020
We are very sorry to hear about Eileen passing. I read this somewhere and hope this helps.
"Grief never ends................but it changes.
It is a passage--not a place to stay.
Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith.
IT IS THE PRICE OF LOVE !
And I know Eileen loved you all so much and she knew you all loved her. Hugs !
~ Sue / Joe Sgambati - October 13, 2020

Eileen Marshall was funny, sassy, and loved a party. She wasn’t afraid to say whatever was on her mind. She was always kind to me. All my love to all of you Marshalls in this time of loss, especially to my dear loves, Andrea and Dan. Remember all of the wonderful memories you share of Eileen and know that her life was filled with fun, laughter, and love because of all of you.
