In Memory Of
James L. "Jim" Towndrow Sr.
1947 - 2020
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Ivan and Viola Towndrow; and second wife, Isabelle Davis-Towndrow.
Jim is survived by his 1st wife, Cynthia Towndrow; children, Pamalia (Curtis Pollard) Towndrow, James “Autumn” Towndrow, Jr., Rebecca (David Vrooman) Towndrow and Anita Towndrow; grandchildren, Zachary Towndrow and Maxwell Vrooman; six brothers; one sister; several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jim was a US Army Veteran, he served in Korea as a cook from 1966 to 1968. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was a talented handyman that could fix anything! He was an active member of the Brown Memorial United Methodist Church; he actively volunteered by cooking, working in the pantry and of course fixing any repairs that needed to be done. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Two of Jim’s favorite quote were “Don’t ever say goodbye, I’ll see you later” and “GOODMORNING!”.
