John M. Buczek, 40, of Syracuse passed away on Sunday unexpectedly. John was born on October 11, 1980 the son of Mark Buczek and Jacqueline (Korthas) Buczek. John worked construction in the Syracuse area and was owner-operator of JB Associates in Syracuse. John grew up in the village of Liverpool where you could catch him rollerblading almost daily. John enjoyed fishing with his son and camping up at Lake Ontario. John was always one to help out and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his son, Mason Buczek; Mason’s mother, Molly Brown; his father, Mark (Beth); his mother, Jackie (Jim McGinnis); sister, Magen Buczek; brother, Jacob Buczek; his beloved grandmother, Robyn Korthas; grandfather, John Buczek; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse on Friday from 4-6 pm, with services at 6pm. Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
