Betty Jones Karcher, the best Mom and Grammie ever and teacher of love, passed away November 20, 2020 at her beloved home in Jamesville. She was born in that same house to Musa and William Jones. She graduated from Fabius-Pompey high school and then Syracuse General Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, and upon graduation assumed the position of Operating Room Supervisor there.

On November 12, 1955 she married Glenn Karcher (predeceased), the love of her life. They had three children; Lance (predeceased), Brent, and Bonnie Nyman (Carl). After raising their family, she continued her nursing career at Syracuse China and then General Electric where she retired in 1987. She adored her children and grandchildren Kerrigan (her Tiny Bug), Heather (her Lily Bit), and Molly and Rachel Karcher. Betty was devoted to her family and friends.

She loved: all animals, the Adirondacks, Boston, family gatherings and celebrations, concerts, charitable causes, riding her tractor, car rides, baking pies, the holidays - and we would enjoy all the wonderful cookies she would bake. She was an active member of the Community General Alumni Association and worked many years as an Election Inspector. She was a member of the Jamesville Community Church. She kept her mind active by playing board games and solving Crossword puzzles. She worked tirelessly her whole life, and last painted her home when she was 86 years young. She had a loving giving spirit, devoted friends, and she and Glenn lived to help others.
