Irma J. Berry, 72, of Syracuse passed away on Thursday at her home. Irma was born on February 5, 1948 the daughter of the late Homer, Sr. and Ettie Berry. Ms. Berry was a native of Syracuse and was a graduate of Central High School. She worked at General Electric, Carrier and General Motors. She retired from Home Aides of CNY.

Irma is survived by her grandchildren, Jordan Hawkins & Ian Vire, niece, Charina (Kevin) Turner, close relative, Kendra Vire, nieces, Cynthia Turner, Marsha Combs, Gwendolyn Turner, nephews, Brian, Benjamin & Kevin Turner, along with many other great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Sonya Hawkins, sister Eva Mae Turner and brother Homer Berry, Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Friday December 4th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, from 2-4 pm, with services at 4pm.

Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
