1942 - 2021

Gloria Jean Freebern, 78 of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on January 7, 2021. Born on April 6, 1942 in Syracuse to the late Thomas P. David and Marion David.

She was the oldest of 10 children. She retired from Crouse Hospital as a Nurses Aid. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family. She also loved Jesus.

She is survived by her children, Billie Jean Freebern, April (Frank) Tomaino and Richard Freebern; grandchildren, Vanessa, Tiffany, Cory, Cara, Carlos, Jessica, Amanda, Ronald, Devon and Mason; great-grandchildren, Noel, Jonas, Elijah, Aminah, Zymara, Zaraina, Skylar, Shaylynn, Colton, Tristian and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by her siblings, Timothy David and Robin Andrews.

Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St. N. Syracuse on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 4-7pm. Funeral Service will follow at 7pm.
