In Memory Of
Michael "Mickey" Calcagino
1938 - 2021

Michael "Mickey" Calcagino, 82, of Cicero, passed away January 15, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

Mickey was born in Syracuse, New York on October 10, 1938 to the late Anthony Calcagino and Viola Fioramonti. Mickey was a loving husband, the "Best Dad Ever", a proud pop and a great friend to many. To know Mickey is to love him as he was well liked and socially outgoing and able to contribute to any conversation. His family always came first, only second to his craving to hit the dance floor with his wife Jean of 62 years. Mickey also loved learning and asking questions having served in the US Coast Guard.

Mickey worked as an engineer at GE for 35 years. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, working on cars, and technology. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Mickey will leave us all with a broken heart, but with memories of love and laughter our hearts shall mend.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his step father, Joseph Fioramonti; and son, Michael Vincent Calcagino.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Calcagino; two daughters, Cori Ann (David) Kohlhepp, and Melissa Jean (Bruce) Abbott; grandchildren, Nicole Lynn Bowers, Sarah Marie Kraus, and Jonathan Michael Abbott; two sisters, Jeannie Gustke, and Joanne (Bernie) Stanzione.

Calling hours will be for immediate family only on Saturday, January 23, 2-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse.
