1926 - 2021

Andrew H. Brockway, Jr. a.k.a Honey, age 94 of Cleveland, NY passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021. Honey was predeceased by his loving and devoted wife of 72 years, Jessica; parents, Andrew and Nettie Brockway, Sr.; daughter, Nancy Ann; and siblings, Louis, James, and Elizabeth.

Andrew is survived by his sister, Nancy (Carl) Wood; children, Carol (Bob) Weller, Andy H. Brockway III, and Nancy M. Brockway Tomaino; grandchildren, Christina (Dave), Corri, Robby, Andrew IV, Shania, Sam, Nick, and Maxwell; many great–grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Andrew graduated from Cleveland High School at the age of 16. He then went to serve in the US ARMY as a paratrooper in WWII. Andrew retired from Carrier Corporation after 36 years of service as a general foreman. He own many businesses through his life, such as a Sunoco Gas Station, his excavating business, a TV Repair Service and an electrician in his spare time. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, woodcarving, stained glass work, bowling, snow mobile racing and his favorite love was playing cards and dominoes. Andrew and Jessica spent 30 years as snowbirds in Palm Bay, Florida where he was noted as a pool “shark”.

Andrew was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend who was loved by all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Shore Ambulance Service of Cleveland, NY.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 4 pm to 7 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, N. Syracuse, NY. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the spring where Andrew will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Jessica in Hastings Cemetery.
