I enjoyed each and every time I met with Heather to discuss landscape needs over a number of years. She was engaging, enthusiastic, and had a great sense of humor, laughing easily. I remember she liked playing volleyball and had a camera collection that always amazed me. The world lost a special flower, and I am sad that she no longer graces the planet. Tonight I will read a book that I used to read to our girls when they were children in her honor. God Bless You Heather, and Godspeed to a place far better than this world.

I had the joy of working with Heather at Ex Libris, and I'm proud to have called her my friend. We worked especially closely for the last year and half, and she quickly became my favorite person to work with. The highlight of every week was always our marathon phone calls, spending hours talking about everything... and sometimes nothing at all. Whenever anything was stressing me out, I just had to send her a message and she'd make time for me -- and vice versa. I wish I had gotten the chance for even just one more conversation with Heather, but I will always be glad that I got the opportunity to know her. My heart goes out to all of her family and friends for the loss of this wonderful person.

I had the pleasure of knowing Heather through my late husband Robert Hawes whom was Heather's cousin.
I remember the fun times we had going to her house and enjoying the large celebrations and gatherings. Heather
was always so kind and welcoming, so gentle and loving and a love for learning. I know Bob used to spend time
with Heather when they were kids playing games and having fun. Heather you will be missed tremendously by all
those that loved you. Your kindness and love will radiate within us forever.

Heather was an amazing co-worker. She was always soft-spoken where I'm loud. We would laugh about the good tag team we made in project calls. I will miss our 'sanity' calls. My heart goes out to David and her family and friends.

Dave and Heather's family and loved ones,
May your dearest memories of Heather bring you comfort during this difficult time. As a colleague of Heather's at Ex Libris, I enjoyed her bright spirit, optimistic outlook, and dedication to her customers. She was simply a joy to work alongside and will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We are so terribly sorry for your loss.
We worked with Heather at Polaris for many years and were heart broken to hear of her passing.
She was such a treasure and wonderful person.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
We have made a donation along with other friends to B'ville library for the purchase of children's books in her name.
Sincerely,
Kelly & Bernardo

Dear David and Family.
I am so sorry to hear of Heather's passing. I was lucky enough to have worked with Heather at Polaris Library Systems. She was the one who "showed me the ropes" when I first arrived and was always available to answer any questions I had. She was a great co-worker and friend. We shared a love of photography and antique cameras . We'd often meet for lunch and she would always have pictures of her family, a concert, or show that she had attended, to show me. It was obvious from how she talked about her family how much she loved all of you.
My deepest sympathies and my thoughts are with you.

Accck!!!....sob... and sigh.... always shocking to hear of a colleague that has passed well before their time, as is the case with dear Heather :-(
To Heather's husband, family, and friends -- I note that many of my Polaris /Ex-Libris/Innovative colleagues have chimed in on some of Heather's interests, personality, sports teams and joie de vivre. While not always so, it is a blessing to spend a bit of time with someone to get to know the non-work side of them - when they are delightful! Witty! Insightful! Observant! and Caring! I was on the sales side at Polaris for many years and Heather and her colleagues were the A-Team to insure that customers were not only taken care of, but that relationships were formed among them. It's hard for those that weren't on the inside to witness the SHEER JOY of customers being able to meet Heather in person in the Liverpool office, at their library, or at a User Conference, simply ...... magic! and often professional colleagues became close acquaintances/friends.
The obituary picture shown for Heather is timeless as her radiance and inner beauty shine brilliantly. I will remember her fondly, and wish all to come to terms with her passing over time.
Sincerely, John Richardson

My deepest condolences to Dave and all of Heather's family. We were privileged to call Heather part of our family at Ex Libris for too short a time. She touched so many people during that time, and throughout her entire career. I will miss her easy going personality and her quiet strength.

Dear Dave & Family,
I had the joy of working with Heather for several years at Polaris.
She taught me the joy of purse shopping, carrying a coupon holder and a punch card for chicken fingers.
Her laughter and some times mischievous behavior were a welcome break in sometimes long hard days.
She reminded me to "see" issues from our customers view, for better clarity.
Graced to have known this very special lady.

I wish to share this poem. My thoughts and prayers are with this beautiful family.
When I die
Give what’s left of me away
To children
And old men that wait to die.
And if you need to cry,
Cry for your brother
Walking the street beside you.
And when you need me,
Put your arms
Around anyone
And give them
What you need to give to me.
I want to leave you something,
Something better
Than words
Or sounds.
Look for me
In the people I’ve known
Or loved,
And if you cannot give me away,
At least let me live on in your eyes
And not your mind.
You can love me most
By letting
Hands touch hands,
By letting bodies touch bodies,
And by letting go
Of children
That need to be free.
Love doesn’t die,
People do.
So, when all that’s left of me
Is love,
Give me away.

Dave, I am so sorry for your lose. Although I never met Heather, I feel as if I knew her. You always spoke so highly of your dear wife, at UPS. There was never a doubt, she was absolutely the love of your life! Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. My God hold you close and comfort you in your time of need.
