Heather May Merrill, 48, of Baldwinsville, passed away April 3, 2021.

Heather was born in Syracuse, New York on April 10, 1972. She graduated from Onondaga Central High School, Wells College with a BA in Women's Studies, and Syracuse University with a MA in Library Science. She loved the New York Rangers, and the Syracuse Crunch where she was a season ticket holder. She and her husband traveled extensively to see Frank Lloyd Wright's work, and also attended many concerts and plays.

Heather loved photography and collecting antique cameras. She collected all the works of her favorite author Shirley Jackson. She loved decorating for Christmas, and most importantly spending time with her family, friends, and colleagues.

Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Vera Yackel.

She is survived by her husband, David Merrill; mother, Linda Yackel; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and several cousins.

There will be no services.

Memorial contributions may be made to a local library in her name for the purchase of children's books, or you may make a contribution to her favorite place, Webster's Pond, Valley Dr., Syracuse, NY.
