Gardner "Sonny" Hill, 86, of Cicero, passed away May 30, 2021.
Gardner was born in Syracuse, New York on May 27, 1935 to the late Gardner and Savilla Hill.
Sonny worked for many years for the Department of Forestry in California. He was a 1952 graduate of North Syracuse High School. Sonny grew up on Oneida lake which led to his deep love of fishing. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
Sonny is survived by his wife, Janet Hill; three sons, Michael (Terri) Hill, Ronald Hill, and Scott (Tina) Hill; a daughter, Robin (David) Bennett; two brothers, Ronald (Dorrie) Hill, and Stewart (Beverly) Hill; grandson, Daniel Bennett; granddaughter, Kimberley (Ricardo) Samaguey; great-grandchildren, Sophie Bennett, Andrew and Charles Samaguey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place Tuesday, 12pm, at Bridgeport Cemetery.
