In Memory Of
Kailey Janine Morrell
1998 - 2021

We are unimaginably heartbroken by the sudden passing of our beautiful daughter Kailey. Kailey passed away on Sunday July 18, 2021 while celebrating with friends. Kailey was born on June 02, 1998 to Scott and Patti Morrell. She was the little sister to Zack and the big sister to Jarrett. On March 17, 2020 she became the Mama to Brantley Austin. She was only 23!

When Kailey entered this world, she entered with a bang. We had no idea what to expect from this brown haired, blue eyed little ray of sunshine. Kailey enjoyed many things in her early years. She loved playing with her brothers, pets, Girl Scouts, softball, dance, and books. She knew early on that she would grow up to be working with children or having many herself. Children gravitate to her like they have known her forever. Her smile would just wrap them like a warm blanket.

As Kailey matured, it was amazing to watch her grow into a young lady that would make any parent proud. She was respectful, joyful and cheerful. She liked camping, hanging out with friends, watching scary movies with her Mom and going to the dirt races with her Dad. She loved the races! Kailey always enjoyed going to concerts, Syracuse football games, shopping trips, road trips and The New York State Fair. She also looked forward to attending The Nutcracker, every year since she was 3.

Kailey faced many challenges while in school. When she was young, she was diagnosed with a Learning Disability. Despite her obstacles, she always faced those challenges with poise, grace and a smile. Oh, that smile! She Graduated C-NS High School in 2017.

After high school, Kailey decided that she wanted to take some time to navigate her future. During this time, she met and began dating Cody. They welcomed Brantley during the pandemic of 2020. Along with Cody’s other son, Kailey began to make plans for her family.

Kailey was predeceased by her Grandfather Michael J Koehle (N. Syracuse) Kailey is survived by her parents, Scott & Patti Morrell (N. Syracuse) brothers Zack (N. Syracuse) and Jarrett (Syracuse) boyfriend Cody Benz (Mattydale) son Brantley Austin (16 months) grandparents, Bonnie Koehle (N. Syracuse) Kathryn Kornrumpf (Maryland) and Charles Morrell (Florida) in addition to the most amazing aunts, uncles and cousins that she absolutely adored
