Shelly Ann Bohne, 57, of Mexico, NY, passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, January 6th after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born in Syracuse to Delia Harper and Luther Griffith. She was a lifelong resident of Mexico, NY. Shelly was a 1983 graduate of Mexico Academy and earned an Associate’s Degree from Cayuga Community College. Shelly also received a certificate for phlebotomy and nail technician. She enjoyed spending time with family, attending concerts with her children, yearly vacations, camping, fishing and cake decorating. Shelly was the favorite aunt to many of her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Kevin; children, Thomas Ladd, Katie Ladd, Alex Bohne and Jarrett Bohne; mother, Delia (Ronald) Huntress; father, Luther (Lana Hallock) Griffith; grandchildren, Aryeonna Yaddow and Aiden Magee; siblings, Steven (Kayleen) Griffith, Suzanne (Brian) Revette and Shirley (Lucky Gollaher) Wood; one very special sister-in-law and best friend, Sheila McDonald and several aunts, uncles, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 14th 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals followed by a service at 7 PM.

Contributions may be made to the ALS Association Upstate NY Chapter, 135 Old Cove Rd. Ste 213, Liverpool, NY 13090.
