Willard Raymond "Will" Koagel
1945 - 2022

Willard Raymond Koagel, 76, of Syracuse, passed away May 25, 2022. Willard was born in Syracuse, New York on October 2, 1945 to Willard and Catherine Koagel. Willard retired from P and C Warehouse. He was a volunteer paramedic with NAVAC Ambulance. In his free time, he enjoyed watching musicals, reading, was a life long Scout Leader, and host father for 25 foreign exchange children.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine; father, Willard F. Koagel; three sisters, Catherine, Carolyn, and Susan; and a brother Robert.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Julia Koagel; daughter, Jennifer Koagel; son, Michael Koagel; brother Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday May 31, 2022 from 4-7PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning at St. Rose of Lima Church at 10:30am. Interment will be made at North Syracuse Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Will's memory may be made to NAVAC Venture Crew 600.
