Harry A. Baumann, 76, of Liverpool, passed away on May 18, 2022. Harry was born on October 30, 1945, to the late Harry and Elizabeth Baumann. He was raised in Manhattan, NY and later moved to Long Island to raise his own family. He came to the Syracuse area over 20 years ago to be close to his eldest daughter. After graduating from Flushing High School in 1964, Harry became a member of the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division. Upon his honorable discharge, he proudly became a New York City Police Officer, and later retired. He sacrificed his life every day to do what he loved and protect others.

Harry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He cherished his times fishing on Montauk Point, L.I. with his brother-in-law John. In his later years, he could be found at his fishing spot in Phoenix, talking with his fishing buddies he made over the years. Harry’s greatest gift to his family and friends was his presence. He was always there to help, give guidance, share wisdom and love. He cared deeply, showing in his actions and words. Harry had a strong belief in family values. His conversations will be missed by many.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Frances and brother-in-law, John Klug.

Harry is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Frank) Troendle and Kim (Joe) Occhiogrosso; grandchildren, Erica, Olivia, Leah, David, and James; former spouse, Kathy Baumann; sister, Dorothy Baumann; and nieces, Diana Parrish and Ruth Comiskey.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date.
