Stanley A Sobey 67, Son of Albert Sobey & Pearl Ruby (Finch)Sobey

Born and raised in Syracuse on 2/16/1955. Most of his Childhood Days were spent on Westcott St., where he developed many a friendship with most of his childhood friends and left such an impression that they still talk about to this day, (especially) while he was working at (The Cellar Deli)! His next career change was a little different, in 1977 he decided to join the Military and devoted 25 years of his life Defending his Country where he received several recognitions for his services, A special thanks to his Sister Sally Ann Davies and her daughter, his niece Tara Lynn Nelson for caring for him during his most difficult times. He is predeceased by both parents, a Sister Rosemary Burlingame, and his longtime partner Jamie Rollins & their grandchildren Mckaylah, Kelcie, Kierstin Pack, that he truly loved.

He is survived by his Stepmom Jacquline May (Brownell) Sobey of Syracuse NY, son Stanley Sobey 11 and two Grandchildren of Princeton Indiana, Sisters, Diane (Glenn)Sutcliffe of Liverpool NY. Sally Davies, of North Syracuse NY. Jacquline(Phil)Ciaramella. Claire (David)Swank of East Syracuse NY. Cindy (Than)Moss. Brothers, Albert & Darlene (Clifford,) Sobey of Goodyear Lake NY. John (Elaine)Sobey of Oneonta NY. James (Michelle)Sobey of Jamesville NY.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 30th from 4-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
