In Memory Of
Marion Byne
1944 - 2022
Marion was born in Syracuse, NY on May 5, 1944 to Grace (Calogero) and Alexander Masterpol.
Marion, who started working at 16 years old, worked for many non-profit organizations in their Finance Departments including being the Director of Operations and Finance for the Syracuse Jewish Federation; and Elmcrest Children Center, Burnet Park Zoo, and Resources for Traumatic Brain Injuries.
Marion enjoyed being a foodie and was a marvelous cook herself, always preparing wonderful meals and desserts for all who visited. She enjoyed life, travelled to many places with friends and family, loved all types of music which she would listen to at home and in her car; and go to many live performances. She was always very creative, took many classes and courses, including cooking, glass fusing, terrariums, and many "drinking" paint nights with her cousin Janice Masterpol Oakes and her daughter Deborah. She also had fun nights gambling at many casinos. She loved to spend time by her pool, drinking, listening to music, and enjoying company.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke around. Marion had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone who needed it.
She was preceded in death by her parents Grace (Calogero) and Alexander Masterpol.
She will be missed by so many, but especially by her loving and devoted husband of 39 years, Charles Byne.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Byne; her son, Paul Wallace; her daughter, Deborah Wallace; her sister, Margaret Masterpol; two brothers, Alexander (Linda) Masterpol, and Anthony Masterpol; nieces, nephews; aunts, uncles; and several cousins.
