Carol A. Montuori, 81, of Syracuse, passed away August 12, 2022. Carol was born in Syracuse, New York on March 26, 1941 to Bill and Martha Detrick. Carol retired from the VFW in Mattydale where she worked as a bartender. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, shopping, and going to the casino to gamble. Carol was a happy soul and always had a smile on her face.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Martha Detrick; son, Tony Banack and daughter, Michelle Banack-Welch.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Danielle S. (Vaughn) Sanders; six grandchildren, Riston Montuori, Willie Sanders, Chevonne, Marty, Missy, and Anthony Banack; and several great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 5-7PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. Memorial contributions in Carol's memory may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave, Syracuse, NY 13208.
