In Memory Of
Joan C. "Joni" Cluett
1954 - 2022

Joan (Joni) Cluett returned to the loving arms of our Lord on September 27th, 2022. She was born Joan Catherine Richway on August 8, 1954, the first daughter of May (Kaost) and Clifford Richway.

Joni grew up in Syracuse, NY, graduated from Henninger High School, and attended Marina Regina College. Joni married her soulmate, John Cluett, in 1977. Joni worked hard to help support her family and to make a beautiful, loving home for her husband and two children.

She loved music, reading, card games, photography. and coin collecting. She enjoyed friendly competition with her husband over who could take the best nature photographs. She enjoyed cross-stitching and crocheting, and she delighted in making a blanket for every new baby that came into her world. Most of all, Joni loved to laugh and to hear the laughter of those around her.

Through good times and bad, she was always there for her family and friends to listen, give guidance, and help in any way she could. Joni inspired those she loved to be kind, patient, forgiving, and joyful. Time and again, she bravely fought her way through illness and injury.

She is now reunited with her loving parents and has gone to a well deserved peace and eternal rest with the Lord.

Joni is survived by her beloved husband John; son John (Kelly); grandsons Noah and Thomas; granddaughter Bethany; daughter Cathy (Robert); brothers Robert, William and Albert; sisters Jeanne, Kathy, and Laura; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Friday, October 7th, 2022 from 1-3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Humane Society of one’s choice.
