Frances D. Bennie, 90, of Camillus, passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2022 surrounded by her family. Frances was born in Syracuse, New York on November 25, 1931 to Angelo and Angeline DiFlorio. She is most proud of her family including her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frances was a devote Catholic with a strong faith in God. She was employed with Onondaga County College, where she worked as an accounting clerk until retirement. She earned her college degree from OCC at the age of 58. Frances enjoyed spending time growing and tending to her rose gardens and was an avid member of the Syracuse Rose Society. She was a member of St. Joseph's Funeral Choir for many years. Frances also served many years as an usher at the Syracuse Civic Center.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John "Nick" Bennie; her parents Angelo and Angeline (LaPenna) DiFlorio; two brothers, Patrick and Ralph DiFlorio; and brother in law John DeSocio.

Frances is survived by her four daughters, Elaine (John) Pierce, Diane Bennie, Susan (Bob DeLasho) Bennie, Patricia (Richard) Pitzeruse; sister, MaryJane DeSocio; two brothers, Robert (Irene) and Edward (Gloria) DiFlorio; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Monday, October 3, 2022 from 10:30-12:00PM at St. Joseph's Church, Camillus where a funeral Mass will follow at 12:15PM. Interment will be made in Woodlawn Cemetery.
