Edward J. Jones, 66, of Liverpool peacefully passed away at home surround by his family on November 6, 2022. He was born in Queens, NY on December 28, 1955.

Edward "Eddie" attended Grahm Junior College, Boston and Emerson College, Boston and Syracuse University Grad School. He married his loving wife, Susan, on January 13, 1988 in Liverpool. He was a volunteer Firefighter at Moyer Corners Station 3. He worked at WSYR – TV Channel 9 News as a Photojournalist for 40 years. He was honored in 2020 by the Syracuse Press Club with a plaque on the Press Club's Wall of Distinction at the Mulroy Civic Center. He enjoyed tending to his flowers and creating a beautiful home and yard. He liked building, and built his own pool deck and porch deck. He loved driving his Tesla and telling everyone fun facts about it. He loved video games, and was an avid film lover. He was passionate about technology and enjoyed sharing information about new tech with his family and friends. Everyone who met him became his friend and loved him. He brought so much love and laughter to the world, and loved his family very much.

He is predeceased by his Parents, Maloey R. and Josephine H. Jones; and Brother, Maloey E. Jones.

Edward is survived by his Wife of 34 years, Susan M. Hemmings-Jones; Daughters, Jennifer L. (David) Kailer, Michelle E. (Frank) Scarcella; Grandson, Alexander J. Kailer; Siblings, Kathleen Jones, Lenore Figueroa, Barbara Jones, and Andrew Jones; and Many Nieces and Nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, with a service to follow at 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Edward’s name to American Cancer Society Hope Lodge Jerome L. Green Family Center, in New York, NY or Moyers Corners Fire Department.
