SGM James R. "Jim" Cook
1944 - 2022

SGM James Richard “Jim” Cook, Ret. 78, formerly of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday December 1st at the NY State Veterans Home in Oxford, NY. James was born in Schenectady, NY on May 13, 1944 son of the late James and Mildred Cook. He served in the US Army for 23 years and retired from TM Cook Co. in East Syracuse. Jim enjoyed fishing, cruises and the occasional Hallmark Movie. He was predeceased by his brother Ricky Morey.

He is survived by his 3 daughters, Patricia Cook, Kathryn Cook, Randi Cook, his former wife and close friend, Leanne Cook, grandson Kobe Taylor, and brother, Terry Cook, along with nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday Dec. 6th from 4-6pm, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.

Jim’s family would like give a special thanks to the staff at the NY State Veterans Home at Oxford, Hawthorne Unit.
