Thomas C. Stimson Sr., 91, of Syracuse, passed away March 10, 2023.
Thomas was born in Syracuse on August 18, 1931 to the late Kermit and Rose Stimson. He was a police officer for the city of Syracuse for 34 years. He retired and moved to New Port Richey, FL and resided there for 22 years.
Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with his wife Annmarie. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Annmarie Stimson; three daughters, Sharon (Jack) Walker, Christine Stimson, Patricia (Scott) Kenyon; three sons, Thomas (Therese) Stimson Jr., Michael (Jeannine) Stimson, Patrick (Rose) Stimson; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Anthony (Mary) Stimson; and a sister, Jane Barretta.
A memorial mass will take place on Friday, March 17th, at 10:00am at Assumption Church, 812 N. Salina St., Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Assumption Church.
