Mary Catherine Theen Life story video
Mary C. Theen, 76, of Liverpool, passed away May 22, 2023.

Mary was born in Syracuse, New York on August 18,1946 to the late Eugene and Doris Van Patten.

A graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes and Cathedral Academy, Mary was active in her earlier years with the American Legion and DAV Auxiliaries. Mary spent the last 15 years residing in Liverpool and doting on her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, George Theen, Sr.; Daughter, Rebecca Ferguson; two Brothers, Eugene Van Patten Jr. and James Van Patten, Sr.

She is survived by her two Daughters, Kimberly (Douglas) Rouselle and April (Jeremy) Jones; Son, George Theen, Jr.; Sister, Margaret Van Patten; Brother, Charles (Carole) Van Patten; Grandchildren, Douglas, Catherine, Mallory, Conor, Peter and Hailey.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 25th from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 26th at 9am at Divine Mercy Parish.

Burial will follow mass in Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Upstate Cancer Fund.
