Elaine M. Schaefer, 79, of North Syracuse, passed away May 27, 2023.
Elaine was born in Plattsburgh, New York on June 7, 1943 to the late Basil and Dorothy Duquette.
Elaine graduated in the class of 1961 at Plattsburgh High School and she retired from AT&T, Charleston, West Virginia. She was an avid sports fanatic cheering on Syracuse Orange & Buffalo Bills, and any other sport that was on TV. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, and sewing for her granddaughter. Elaine was one of a kind and will be truly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Henry Hartley Schaefer Sr.; Son, Henry H. Schaefer II; Brothers, Basil Duquette Sr., Ryon Duquette Sr., Kenneth Duquette Sr.
She is survived by her Daughter, Dorothy (Dore) Schaefer-Pfaff; Granddaughter, Michelle Pfaff; Brothers, Rodney (Sandra) Duquette, Raleigh, NC; and Gary Duquette, Plattsburgh, NY; Sister-in-law, Jenny Schaefer, Cockeysville, MD. As well as many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces & Nephews who loved her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Plattsburgh, NY.
