Glenn R. "Bob" Chamberlain
1935 - 2023

Glenn "Bob" R. Chamberlain, 87, of Canastota, formerly of Shaver Ave in North Syracuse, passed away June 4, 2023. Bob was born and raised in the Lacona area on August 11, 1935 to Glenn and Doris Chamberlain. Bob was 1953 graduate of Sandy Creek High School where he played the trumpet in the school marching band as well as baseball and basketball. He proudly served in the United States Army as Private First Class from 1958-1960. Bob received a degree in Photography from Syracuse University, then went on to pursue his employment with Carrier as a Core Engineer. Upon retirement, Bob worked in the tool Department at Sears.

Bob was an avid bowler participating in many leagues, even earning awards for a perfect game. You'd often see Bob sporting Yankee or NASCAR attire. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, golfing, horseshoes, and attending his great-grandson, Devon's, baseball games. Devon plans to carry out his grandfathers joy of baseball in each game he plays. Bob valued his friendships and the loyalty they held. Bob, truly had a heart of gold and was always there to give honest advice. He will be missed and loved by all.

Bob was preceded in death by the love of his life, Luella Carr in 1994 and his wife, the former, Carol Easterly in 2017; and parents, Glenn S. and Doris Brown Chamberlain.

He is survived by his granddaughter and caretakers, Rosa (Brandon ) Silvernail; great-grandsons, Devon and Lucas Silvernail; Several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; and Step-Children.

Family and friends will be celebrating his life privately. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to The American Heart Association.
