Alvin E. Lagstrom

Alvin E. Lagstrom, 71 of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 23, 2025. He was born on February 9, 1954 to the late Lars Peter and Florence Lagstrom.

 He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Alvin was a truck driver for many years, loved his NY Giants and watching football. He also loved talking with friends and family on the phone.

 He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Cicero and was a member of the VFW in Cicero. He enjoyed camping and hunting in his earlier years. Alvin enjoyed spending time with his loving family.

 He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathleen (Wright) Lagstrom; children, Melanie (Christopher Jr.) Segars and Venessa (Paul) Virginia; grandchildren, Vincent Jr., Eddie, Sabrina, Tyler, Bianca, Cameron and Leila; sisters, Janice (Dan) Evans and Sandra Cunningham; brother, Eric (Linda) Lagstrom and several sister-in-laws and brother-in-law.

 He was predeceased by his twin brother, Calvin; brothers, Robert and Gary; sister, Cecelia.

 Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212 on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 10am-12pm. Funeral Services will follow at 12pm. Military Honors will be held at the Onondaga Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse, NY on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 1pm.
