Amber M. Howell

Amber M. Howell, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on April 14th, 2026. She was just a few days shy of turning 39 years old after suffering for over a year with cancer and cancer treatments.

Amber was known by most as a sweet, kind, and generous soul.

She struggled with opioid addiction for many years and yet would always step up for others and give away anything she had to someone she felt needed it more.

The absolute loves of her life were her two children, both grown: son Gage Tidd and daughter Hailey Szymanoski with newborn Violet, whom she never got to meet. Nothing meant more to her.

Amber leaves behind broken hearts. Her mother Della; her sisters Angela, Amanda, and Alicia; some recently discovered half siblings James, Joseph, and Misty; several aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; and an overwhelming number of friends.

Many previous losses to death of friends and close family did not evade her either. Too many to mention.

A gathering of loving friends and family to honor the special person she was will take place on Saturday, April 25th, at the Vineyard Church, a place that was dear to her heart, at 808 North McBride Street in the city of Syracuse from 2:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon. This accommodates the bus routes to and from the hub and church, as well as cars and walking.
