Augustine "Joyce" Asforis, 71, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday after a long illness. She was born on March 25, 1942 in St. Lucia, West Indies. Joyce was a registered nurse for over 50 years and assisted others in this field. She was predeceased by her husband, Dickenson Asforis in 2008.
Surviving are 2 daughters; Vanessa (Walter) Chavez-Asforis, Shara Asforis, 2 step-sons; David & Bruce, 3 grandchildren; Amir, Amari, Amaru, 2 brothers; Philip J. Pierre, Bertrand Pierre and a sister, Belvina.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
