Barbara Ann Durand

Barbara Ann Durand, 71, of Clay, NY, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2025.

Born in Ithaca, NY, she grew up in Newfield before eventually settling in Liverpool.

Barbara retired from Upstate Medical University in 2014 and was a devoted Syracuse University and NY Giants fan. She especially loved cheering on and supporting her only biological grandson during his basketball career.

Barbara volunteered at NOVA for 18 years. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Gordon R. Foster.

She is survived by her mother, Corinne Cooper Foster; two daughters, Kimberly Durand and Kelly McLaughlin (Justin), her brother, James Gordon (Rita) Foster of Camillus, NY; and two beloved grandchildren, Jayden Cromwell and Chase Carter-McLaughlin. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephew: Lindsey (Andrew) Lynch, Emily Olson, and Tyler Foster.

A private ceremony will be held with the family to spread her ashes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Barbara’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
