Betty Jane Farrell

Betty J. Farrell, 96, of Syracuse, passed away June 13, 2026. Betty was born in Syracuse, New York on April 5, 1930 to John and Elizabeth (Mary) Shepard. In her free time, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty also enjoyed her sweets especially ice cream and chocolate.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John G. and Elizabeth (Mary) Shepard; husband Peter Farrell; son Albert J. Farrell; daughter, Diane (Anthony) Senzarino; three sisters, Shirley Cook, Ikey Macina, Peachy Miller; two brothers, Chuckie Shepard, John "Sonny" Shepard.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Bill) Belpulsi, Denise (Scott) Cooper, Mary (Matt) McCrossen; son John (Tina) Farrell; three sisters, Linda Cook, Marie Young, Alice Fellows; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Monday, July 27, 2026 from 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.  A service will follow at 7pm.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 11 AM at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery Chapel.
