Brent Goodsell

Brent Goodsell, 81, of Syracuse, NY, died on September 29, 2026.

Born in Rutland, VT, on July 7, 1945, to Avis and Elisha Goodsell—the eldest of four children.

Brent graduated from the Mount Hermon School (1963) and Yale University (1967). He attended the Maxwell School at SU before serving in the US Army. Brent began his career at Jacobsen Oriental Rugs, which lasted several decades.

Brent was predeceased by his parents and infant son. 

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and daughter, Dr. Kelly Goodsell, and a large extended family of New Englanders.

He will be missed by many.

Burial will be in Vermont. Services are private.
