Carol A. Phillips

Carol A. Phillips, 73, of Syracuse, passed away November 30, 2025. Carol was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on March 6, 1952 to Alfred and Margaret Bowles. 

Carol retired from Sunnyside Nursing Home in East Syracuse. In her free time, she enjoyed gambling, playing the lottery, was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with her children. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Bowles and father, Alfred Bowles; four brothers, Kim Paul Bowles, Theodore Bowles, Jan Bowles and William Bowles.

She is survived by two daughters, Peggy DeShane, Carol DeShane-Sustache; two sons, Robert DeShane, Erwin Webster; four brothers, George Bowles, Robert Bowles, Paul Bowles, Ronald Bowles; two sisters, Patricia Arcaro and Joann Germond-Bowles; several grandchilren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse, where funeral services will be held at 7pm.
